OnePlus has decided to temporarily suspend sales of its OnePlus 3 smartphone in a number of countries in Europe starting on August 9th of this year. The reason? It appears that the Chinese phone maker is having a hard time keeping up with the high demand for its latest handset offering and will have to halt sales for now to select European regions.
Though not as popular as other Android device offerings from mobile giants such as Samsung and LG, OnePlus’ smartphones are fairly well regarded among Android mobile users. The tricky part however is in the purchasing of these handsets. This is because for the longest time, the Chinese phone maker has chosen to sell its devices mainly through a rather inconvenient invite only system. Indeed, those who were interested in buying a OnePlus smartphone had to join contests, complete tasks on social media, or pressure acquaintances who already managed to snag a OnePlus device.
According to Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, the company is planning to release its fourth smartphone offering, the OnePlus 3, at the end of the first half of this year. Pei has not provided any more details about the OnePlus 3 device, but for sure, the smartphone will be promoted as the latest flagship device from the Chinese phone maker.
