Republic Wireless has decided to offer six full months of service absolutely free of charge to its current and new customers. This free service deal already comes with unlimited voice calls, texting, and a gigabyte of data.
This year, it appears that mobile virtual network operator Republic Wireless is not too keen on Black Friday. Instead, the carrier will be unleashing Taco Tuesday, which will see the MVNO offer a range of special deals November 29th (the Tuesday right after Black Friday, hence the name). It might turn out to be a wise decision, especially for somebody like Republic Wireless, who might be better off choosing its battles carefully.
The prevailing news this week is the recent unveiling of Google’s latest smartphone offerings -- the Pixel and the Pixel XL. These devices are the first smartphones to have support for the tech giant’s cool and conversational Google Assistant feature.
Republic Wireless has revealed that it is expanding its existing mobile plans by adding brand new options starting at $15 a month. The mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) is shifting its service from CDMA only (on the network of major US wireless carrier Sprint) to GSM inclusive. What this means for mobile users is that they will now find it easier to bring their own handsets to the all new mobile plans.
According to a report by Fierce Wireless, Republic Wireless is planning to offer service on both GSM and CDMA networks possibly in March or April of this year. On top of that, the budget friendly wireless carrier will also be debuting a new payment option for mobile devices in the next few months.
Consumer Cellular, Ting, and Republic Wireless were among the wireless carriers that scored the highest ratings in terms of customer satisfaction, according to the results of the latest survey conducted by Consumer Reports.
Since April earlier this year, Republic Wireless had already been hinting that it will be restructuring some of its plans and pricing in the next few months. Well, the carrier certainly held true to its word, recently making some big changes to its contract free mobile plans.
Specifically, it has incorporated a number of new pricing tiers to its current plans, and is adjusting certain inclusions on wireless data. Lastly, Republic Wireless has also finally launched its data refund feature
Republic Wireless hinted last month that it will be launching the Moto E smartphone sometime in October of this year. Well, to the delight of Motorola fans, the carrier is making good on its promise. Republic Wireless has recently announced that it will launch the Moto E on October 15th. However, it appears that some buyers may get their Moto E units ahead of the release date. The carrier has stated that those who signed up to learn more about the Moto E handset over email will be able to purchase the device starting on October 8th. The device will be available for $99.00 with taxes. Republic Wireless already has the Moto X and the Moto G in its lineup. So adding the Moto E is definitely a no-brainer for the carrier. Very soon, Republic Wireless will be able to offer the entire Moto trio of smartphones to its subscribers.
