There has been much speculation about HTC manufacturing the next Nexus device or devices for Google, with no definite details regarding the appearance of the handset(s). But a recent leaked image that surfaced online should give Android or HTC fans a glimpse of what is to come. The photo was published just this week by tech blog Android Police.
Google has made it official -- the name of the latest version of its Android mobile operating system is Android Nougat. Now that the tech giant has settled that, the next important question is: which new Nexus device will be the first to be powered by Android Nougat? According to a report by Android Police, it could be a couple of mobile devices built by HTC.
Back in April earlier this year, there were reports that HTC was going to build some of the upcoming Nexus devices slated for release later this year. Recent rumors point that the Taiwanese phone maker was planning to launch a couple of Nexus offerings -- one a 5 inch device, and another a 5.5 phablet, with both handsets codenamed as Sailfish and Marlin, respectively.
