So you need to take a screenshot on your new iPhone X, but you can't figure out how to do it. The iPhone X is the first iPhone model that does not feature a Home Button, so the old way of taking a screenshot by holding the Home Button and the Power Button does not apply anymore.
How to take a screenshot on the iPhone X:
All you have to do to take a screenshot on the iPhone X is hold the Side Button on the right side of your iPhone X and the Volume Up button at the same time.
Your iPhone X screen will display a white flash which lets you know that the screenshot was taken successfully. You'll also see a small preview of the screenshot in the lower right side of the display.
How to take a screenshot on iPhone X if side buttons are broken:
If your right Side Button or Volume Up button is not functioning correctly, or is broken, you can still take a screenshot with the iPhone X. The method here involves using AssistiveTouch.
Simply turn on AssistiveTouch in your Settings. To do this, tap Settings, then General, then Accessibility, then AssistiveTouch, and toggle the switch to ON (green).
To take a screenshot with AssistiveTouch, all you have to do is tap the on-screen button, then tap Device, then tap More, then tap Screenshot. Again, your screen will flash white to indicate that the screenshot was taken successfully.
If you tap on the screenshot preview that appears in the lower right corner of your display, then you can edit the screenshot.
