Sprint has been on a roll introducing powerful Android phones that are the talk of the industry. Android enthusiasts have long known that Sprint has some of the best Android phones available, but those are premium phones that command premium prices.

However, not everyone needs a high-end phone that has the latest cutting-edge features. In fact, most of us want a phone to be powerful enough to get the job done, but otherwise easy-to-use, reliable and inexpensive. Those qualities define the Samsung Conquer, a 4G smartphone that uses Sprint’s speedy WiMax network. Some of the other features of the Conquer include front- and rear-facing cameras, a 1GHz processor and pre-loaded Swype capability for fast typing on the phone’s 3.5-inch LCD display.

In the video to the right, Wirefly’s Bob Kovacs shows off the features of the Samsung Conquer, including running a standard benchmark test to demonstrate the device’s power. Click on the window to watch the review.

  • Looks are fantastic with a powerful processor but the screen is not that big. Could have been a much better phone, had there been a larger display of at least 3.7″.
