HTC Incredible

The HTC Incredible, an Android-powered device rumored to take on the Nexus One in the spec sheet arena, appears that it may officially make its debut on Verizon Wireless in the next number of weeks. According to sources who reportedly spoke with DailyTech, Big Red’s carrier stores will be taking deliveries of the Incredible in the next week to two weeks.

The device is expected to be running Android version 2.1, the latest bake of Google’s mobile operating system. Rumored specifications for the device have undergone several refreshes, but the latest speculation appears to make the Incredible a credible challenger for the frequently usurped throne held by the most powerful Android device.

Here’s the (far from confirmed) key specs:

  • Android 2.1 with Sense UI
  • 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250 Snapdragon CPU
  • 512MB RAM
  • 6GB ROM
  • AMOLED screen WVGA resolution
  • microSD expansion slot
  • 8.0-megapixel digital camera w/ dual LED flash and autofocus
  • FM tuner
  • 1,300 mAh battery
  • Dimensions: 4.63 x 2.3 x 0.47 in.
