Does hooking up your cell phone to your TV to read email, surf the web, and watch movies in glorious clarity sound like a good time to you?

Well, a couple of our friends from HTC swung by Wirefly headquarters this afternoon to show off this impressive, if not incredible feature on Verizon’s latest Android-powered smartphone — the highly-anticipated DROID Incredible by HTC.

Just slip one end of the (optional) accessory cable into the Incredible’s microUSB port and the other into your TV’s composite connection, and voila. And yes, projectors are invited to the party, too. But enough talk, we’ll let you see the Incredible in action for yourself.

  • Too bad it dosn’t work with HDMI output.

  • Has any one tired out on galaxy s ? Could you use a normal usb plug? If not where can I get it?

    • Daisy, are you asking if you can get HDMI out of the USB connector on a Samsung Galaxy S phone? I believe no Samsung Galaxy S phone supports HDMI out. The Samsung Galaxy S II phones also do support HDMI out as far as I’m aware, but they do have DLNA capability. That lets you wirelessly send content from your phone to a TV that has DLNA capabilty.

Another thing I’d like to know is how you got the movie to play on the Incredible. I have had a heck of a time trying to get video ported to the Incredible. Will the accessory include software to make this happen?

  • The cable will be available from Verizon Wireless within 30 days.

  • Hi…I cant find the cable at wirefly.com. Where can I get this cable for my HTC Incredible?

  • So, any USB composite video adapter will work, or this a VZW/HTC accessory only?

  • This phone may cannibalize N1 due to simply having HTC Sense in it and the full “Google Experience”. Plus 8GB internal, 8MP cam. Why bother with an N1 if you’re a VZW customer now?
Actually the leaked impression posted before was actually incredible. Opinions. http://j.mp/htc-incredible-impressions
