Apple has just updated its website with a new support page for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus device users.
The support page details a problem select models may encounter in booting up due to “a component that may fail.” According to the website, the company will be repairing affected models for free.
If you own either device manufactured between October 2018 and August 2019, you may be one of the users with an affected device.
Apple did not disclose what this particular part is, but does share that there is only a small number of models that are affected by the problem.
You can head over to Apple’s support page to see if your device is qualified for the free repair. Once you get to that page, you will have to enter the serial number of your device that you can find in Settings or the back of your phone.
