5G network has been all the rave this year and it’s easy to see why the big four networks are pushing for it. Even though AT&T’ 5G network has been around for a year already, the carrier is bringing the network to five cities beginning next month. The cities on the list include Pittsburgh, Providence, Indianapolis, and San Diego. After they launch in these cities, their next goal is to expand 5G network in ten more cities including San Francisco, Boston, and New York. They promise to offer nationwide coverage in early 2020.
This is good news for AT&T subscribers because their 5G network was only available in 5G+ variant. This is actually mmWave 5G but still functioned via hotspots. It was only available to business clients.
AT&T shared that by December, they will be offering real sub 6GHz spectrum 5G. Although this will be slower than mmWave variety, the good news is it will be available to non-business customers.
If you are interested in the new 5G network that AT&T will offer, you can opt to subscribe to the Unlimited Extra ($75 per month) or Unlimited Elite ($85 per month) plans.
As part of its rollout, AT&T will be accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G starting November 25th. The device will be priced at $1,300.
