A few weeks ago, AT&T promised that it would be launching its low-band 5G coverage in five markets before the end of the year. And as announced today, the wireless carrier’s 5G mobile network is now live in a total of 10 cities, including the following:
Los Angeles, CA
San Diego, CA
San Francisco, CA
San Jose, CA
If you reside in these areas, you can visit AT&T’s coverage map to find out where the network is live in those cities.
In addition to launching its 5G network, AT&T has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G as part of its roster of devices. You can get in on the 5G action with this smartphone, which you can buy online and at AT&T stores for $1,299.99 in full or $43.34 per month for 30 months.
Once you have the device, you will need to sign up for an AT&T 5G-capable plan:
Unlimited Extra - $75 per month
Unlimited Elite - $85 per month
AT&T still has plans to deploy its 5G coverage in more markets, such as Boston, MA; Bridgeport, CT; Buffalo, NY; Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; and many others. Their goal is to make their low-band 5G network to be available throughout the US by the first half of 2020.
