5G has been the latest craze among US major carriers. Now that it most carriers have launched their own network in select parts of the country, the next thing to look out for is the different 5G-enabled phones that will be made available.
One of those smartphone models, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is, by far, the one device that seems promising. Thankfully, AT&T is getting ready to make this device available starting June 17th.
There is, however, a catch. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G won’t be available to everyone just yet. AT&T’s announcement makes this smartphone available exclusively available to AT&T Business customers, at least for now. And thanks to their Developer Program, 5G developers can take part in the action.
Customers under AT&T’s Business Unlimited Preferred plan may get their hands on the device and use it under AT&T’s 5G+ network. As of this writing, the network has launched in very limited areas of 19 cities. The carrier plans to expand this reach to at least 30 cities by the end of the year.
AT&T is currently selling the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G 256GB for $1,000 via AT&T account representatives. The price is available for a limited time only. 5G developers will also have access to the device once they attend the upcoming AT&T SHAPE event, which will be held in Los Angeles on June 22 and 23.
Right now, there is no mention on when AT&T plans to have a wider rollout for the device.
