Earlier today, Google unveiled its two latest smartphones, the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro. After months of testing, these two phones are finally available. The higher-end model is even considered as Google’s first true “flagship” model.
When it comes to specs, the two devices run Google’s own Tensor chip instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. They both run on the latest Android 12 OS.
As a flagship model, the Pro model comes with a 6.7-inch QHD-resolution display and has three rear-facing cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera, 48-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The front camera comes with 11.1-megapixels and can record 4K video. It also has 12GB of RAM and 5003mAh battery. There is an option to choose from 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of memory. Colors available include Stormy Black, Sorta Sunny, and Cloudy White.
Meanwhile, the smaller Pixel 6 model comes with a 6.4-inch display. It runs on the same processor but has 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB onboard memory. There are two cameras available, the 50-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors. In front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The battery on this device is 4614mAh and the colors available include Stormy Black, Sorta Seafoam, and Kinda Coral.
These two phones are available for pre-orders starting today before they hit store shelves on October 29th. As for pricing, Google has announced that the Pixel 6 starts at $599 while the Pixel 6 Pro starts at $899. Google also has a trade-in offer that can get you up to $633 off on the Pixel 6 with an eligible device.
The major US carriers have revealed their promotions for the device. To start with, AT&T is running a $200 discount without a trade-in for the Pixel 6 once you sign up with a new unlimited plan.
T-Mobile is running an On Us offer for the Pixel 6 with an eligible trade-in and Magenta MAX plan activation. There is an option to get the phone under another plan but you will only have up to $450 off.
Lastly, Verizon is offering the Pixel 6 at a discount of up to $700 with an eligible trade-in and new plan activation.
