Lenovo and Verizon are currently working together for a project internally referred to as “Project Ironman.” According to leaked reports, this project will let Motorola produce a “first-of-its-kind 5G wearable.”
Recently, credible leakster, @evleaks revealed that Lenovo is working on an AR headset. The leak shares that Motorola has designed the headset, which will operate on Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wide band network.
Although this project may seem similar to Lenovo’s previous ThinkReality A3 headset, there are some key differences that should be noted. Liliputing shares that “Lenovo’s product page for the ThinkReality A3 specifically mentions tethering the glasses to the moto G100 to ‘enable AR solutions’ on 5G and WiFi 6 networks.”
The leak also reveals images of what could be the mystery glasses. There is a neckband with a trackpad-looking contraption and a battery beneath it. According to the leakster, the red cable seen in the photos will send “power and data” to the AR headset.
Apart from the photos, there’s not much information available on Project Ironman. But it’s possible that Motorola will reveal more information soon once it nears its launch. Liliputing believes the device could be priced between $2000 and $2500. The question is, will you be interested in getting one?
