HMD Global is making a bold move with its Nokia devices. Earlier today, the Finnish company revealed that it will be updating a number of its devices to Android 10.
It can be recalled that the company launched a number of devices in the last two years. The smartphone manufacturer, however, promised to update these devices before 2020 ends.
But because of the coronavirus outbreak, the manufacturer had to make some changes to its plans. So far, the devices that have been updated to the latest OS include the Nokia 7.1, Nokia 8.1, and Nokia 9 PureView. If you are using a Nokia phone other than these three, you may have to wait some more to get the update.
The manufacturer today released 14 smartphones that are slated to receive an Android 10 update. They promise to make the update available before Q2 ends. These devices are:
Nokia 1 - Mid Q2
Nokia 1 Plus - Early Q2
Nokia 2.1 - Mid Q2
Nokia 2.2 - Late Q1 to early Q2
Nokia 2.3 - Late Q1 to early Q2
Nokia 3.1 - Mid Q2
Nokia 3.1 Plus - Late Q1 to early Q2
Nokia 3.2 - Late Q1 to early Q2
Nokia 4.2 - Late Q1 to early Q2
Nokia 5.1 - Mid Q2
Nokia 5.1 Plus - Early Q2
Nokia 6.2 - Late Q1 to early Q2
Nokia 7.2 - Late Q1 to early Q2
Nokia 8 Sirocco - Late Q1 to early Q2
The actual date of the roll out of these updates may depend on your carrier approvals and local variances. It’s possible that the update may reach you later.
