Optimum Mobile unveils new Unlimited Max plan

Optimum Mobile has a new wireless plan called Unlimited Max. 

As BestMVNO explains it, this is a misleading name for the plan since it does not include unlimited high-speed data. The plan comes with fixed 500GB high-speed data up to 5G data speeds, unlimited talk, and text.

The plan is currently available at $55 per month for Optimum and Suddenlink Internet subscribers. If you don’t have a subscription to either, you will have to pay $70 per month for the service. 

The good news is that it comes with multi-line discounts:

  • 2 lines - $80 for Optimum & Suddenlink Internet, $110 regular

  • 3 lines - $120 for Optimum & Suddenlink Internet, $165 regular

  • 4 lines - $160 for Optimum & Suddenlink Internet, $220 regular

  • 5 lines - $175 for Optimum & Suddenlink Internet, $250 regular

Taxes and fees are not yet included. There is also a $20 (plus tax) SIM Kit/activation fee. 

The T-Mobile MVNO allows hotspot but up to 15GB of data only. Video streaming is at 720p resolution. Domestic roaming data is at 2G speeds.
