Samsung is currently changing things up with its low and mid-range devices. Although this isn’t the first time the South Korean manufacturer has done this, they have decided to give specific smartphone models a makeover.
One of the changes that Samsung will be making is ditching the J series. They will also be spanning the A-series in the A30-A80 range. Finally, the manufacturer will also be shipping the A50 and A60 models with LCD displays.
One reason why Samsung is focusing on LCD screens instead of its signature OLED displays is because of the demand of certain markets. The smartphone manufacturer was able to discover that certain markets, like the U.S., are fond of LCD technology. In addition to this, LCD is way cheaper than OLED displays. By using LCD display on its A50 and A60 models, Samsung is able to lower the price of both devices.
With this, Samsung is all set for its 2019 smartphone plans. Among the major series the smartphone manufacturer will be launching next year include the M, A, S, and the F.
Of course, the F series includes the ultra-premium foldable phone that Samsung recently introduced in its developers conference held earlier this week. The A-series will also introduce the quad camera smartphone to the U.S. market.
Indeed, 2019 looks like a promising year for Samsung.
