Total Wireless is trying something unusual to get soccer fans excited about the FIFA World Cup 2026. Instead of running a typical online giveaway, the Verizon-owned prepaid brand is placing street flyers around select neighborhoods in New York City, with Miami, Houston, and Los Angeles set to follow starting April 13. The flyers may look ordinary, but each one includes tear-off tabs that can be redeemed for a chance to attend a FIFA World Cup 2026 match in that city. Source
According to Verizon, fans who find one of the flyers can take a tab to a participating Total Wireless retail store, where an associate will scan the unique QR code. Eligible participants will then receive two electronic tickets to a FIFA World Cup 2026 match hosted in their city. Verizon says the process skips the usual contest-style hurdles, with no app download and no complicated entry steps.
The company is also extending the promotion beyond the flyer campaign. From April 8 through May 31, Total Rewards members can enter a sweepstakes for tickets to matches across all tournament host cities, including a pair of tickets to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final in New York City on July 19. Verizon says entries can be made online or at any of the brand’s more than 2,000 stores nationwide, with one entry allowed per customer per day for new or existing Total Wireless customers enrolled in Total Rewards.
Total Wireless says it also plans to host FIFA World Cup 2026-themed events at select retail stores around the country, with player appearances, merchandise, and giveaways that include a motorola razr FIFA World Cup 26 Edition. The brand describes the broader push as part of its effort to make major sports moments feel more accessible at the neighborhood level.
