Verizon has just revealed two big news for its 5G coverage expansion.
The first announcement is that more cities have been added to their list of 5G Ultra Wideband coverage. Verizon has also launched its nationwide 5G network.
As of this writing, there are now 55 cities that have access to the 5G Ultra Wideband coverage of Verizon. The list of cities that have recently been added include the following:
Ann Arbor, MI
Fort Wayen, IN
Jersey City, NJ
Las Vegas, NV
Oklahoma City, OK
San Francisco, CA
St. Louis, MO
The wireless carrier hopes to expand this number of cities to 60 before the year ends.
As for the other announcement, Verizon has launched its 5G Nationwide network. This makes the network available to over 200 million individuals in more than 1,800 cities across the country. This coverage makes use of low-band spectrum so that the longer distances of Verizon’s high-band 5G Ultra Wideband network can be reached.
