Verizon customers now have a shot at experiencing the 2026 FIFA World Cup from the field itself. The carrier just launched a sweepstakes offering hundreds of "Golden Tickets" that give winners the chance to watch part of the matches from the pitch—something fans have never been able to do before at a World Cup.
Verizon announced that the sweepstakes runs from November 6 through November 20, and customers can enter exclusively through the My Verizon app using the Verizon Access feature. Winners will get to walk onto the field during actual gameplay, putting them right in the middle of the action instead of watching from the stands.
Soccer legend David Beckham is fronting the campaign alongside other big names like goalkeeper Tim Howard and players Alyssa Thompson, Gisele Thompson, and Chucky Lozano. This sweepstakes is just the opening move—Verizon says it'll be giving away thousands of free World Cup tickets throughout 2026, with hundreds more of these special pitchside passes up for grabs, plus customer events and merchandise collaborations.
People who aren't Verizon customers yet can still get in on the action by switching carriers before the entry period closes. As the official telecommunication sponsor for the 2026 World Cup, Verizon is positioning these perks as a major reason to stick with or join the network.
