Verizon is busy this year as it plans to deploy 5G network in over 30 cities. Yesterday, the wireless network named 20 cities that will be included in its list of early adopters. In addition to this, Big Red has started accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G smartphone.
The new cities named as the early adopters of Verizon’s 5G service include Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, Providence, San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Washington, DC. More cities will be announced later in the year when Verizon is finally ready to launch the network.
Along with this announcement, Verizon has opened up pre-orders for one of Samsung’s most anticipated devices for 5G compatibility this year. Eligible devices can even be traded for a discount of $450 and a $200 prepaid Mastercard. If you are interested in this offer, you will have to switch to Verizon, sign up for Verizon Unlimited, and purchase the Galaxy S10 5G under a device payment plan. Additionally, Verizon will be waiving the $10 per month access fee for 5G Ultra Wideband. Pre-orders also include a free Samsung Wireless Charging Battery Pack and a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds.
The Galaxy S10 5G starts at $1,299.99 if purchased outright. It will be available in Verizon stores starting May 16th.
