When Apple introduced the Apple Watch during its September 9 event in Cupertino, California, they highlighted several features of the company's first ever wearable device. However, they were particularly mum regarding on detail -- how long the Apple Watch's battery will last when used.
The wait is over. During an event in Cupertino, California, Apple officially unveiled its first wearable device -- the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch is expected to hit store shelves early next year and will have a starting price of $349.00.
Apart from its touchscreen, the Apple Watch can detect various levels of force. But what tech enthusiasts (and future buyers) will find most interesting is the wearable device's "digital crown" which is located on the right side of the smartwatch.
Hours after the Moto 360 debuted on retail, the Android wearable device has reportedly sold out. Motorola has issued a statement confirming that, yes, all initial stocks of the Moto 360 that were offered online had indeed sold out. The phone maker further stated that it is currently trying to replenish the supply, but with the very high demand, it is not sure when the wearable devices will be available again for purchase.
Motorola may soon become a subsidiary of Lenovo late this year, but that has not stopped the mobile manufacturer from releasing new products recently. In an event held at its headquarters in the city of Chicago, the phone maker introduced new versions of its flagship smartphone Moto X, as well as a sequel to its budget-friendly offering Moto G. On top of that, the company also unveiled Hint, a Bluetooth earpiece accessory, and then proceeded to share some information about its smartwatch, the Moto 360.
Apple has been the biggest innovator in smart devices in the 21st century. At the first release of each device in their iconic trilogy--iPod, iPhone, and iPad-- Apple has absolutely dominated the industry. The iPod revolutionized the way we listened to music, the iPhone revolutionized the way we communicated, and the iPad revolutionized the way we connected with the world. Ever since Apple lost Steve Jobs, it seems they have lost their ability to innovate. We haven't seen a new device from Apple that hat has changed the way we live our lives since the iPad over 4 years ago.
