According to HMD Global, the Finnish tech company that is now producing new mobile devices under the Nokia brand, it will be releasing the Nokia 6 in the United States mobile market starting next month. The device, though, will not be sold through any wireless carrier, but through Amazon. The Android powered handset will be offered in color options of black or silver, and with a pricing of $229.
The last few months have certainly seen Motorola diligently update its existing lineups of smartphone devices. During the first quarter of this year, the phone maker introduced the new Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus handsets.
It appears that Motorola has a full year ahead, that is in terms of smartphone releases -- well at least according to tipster extraordinaire Evan Blass. The famous leaker has recently got hold of an image that portrays a presentation showing Lenovo’s smartphone plans for the rest of 2017. Based on the leaked picture, it appears that the Chinese tech giant is readying to launch at least nine handsets in the next few months.
Sure, Motorola may have released a new lineup of Moto smartphones more than a month ago (the Moto Z series, which consists of the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force), but it does not mean that the phone maker has outright left its Moto E series of handsets for dead.
Back in 2014, Chinese tech giant Lenovo had completed its acquisition of Motorola, and fast forwarding to a couple of years, Motorola seems to be doing okay, or at least that is what Rick Osterloh, president of the company, is trying to convey to the world. Thus, Osterloh is reassuring everybody that they can expect more Moto E and Moto G mobile devices in the future, and also more Lenovo handsets.
Motorola recently rolled out an Android software update to its current flagship device, the second generation Moto X smartphone. As far as software updates go, this latest one has something cool up its sleeve, a feature that should delight owners of the Moto X handset.
Motorola officially announced the latest version of the Moto E smartphone last Wednesday. The handset comes with a starting price of $119, which will get you a 3G-compatible device. For those who want to get the newest Moto E with 4G LTE connectivity, they may have to pay $30 more.
Many consider last year's version of the Moto E handset a very good option when it comes to low-cost smartphones. It was priced at $129 and lacked 4G LTE connectivity, but still it offered good value with its software features, easily customizable casings, and a pretty decent battery.
Republic Wireless hinted last month that it will be launching the Moto E smartphone sometime in October of this year. Well, to the delight of Motorola fans, the carrier is making good on its promise. Republic Wireless has recently announced that it will launch the Moto E on October 15th. However, it appears that some buyers may get their Moto E units ahead of the release date. The carrier has stated that those who signed up to learn more about the Moto E handset over email will be able to purchase the device starting on October 8th. The device will be available for $99.00 with taxes. Republic Wireless already has the Moto X and the Moto G in its lineup. So adding the Moto E is definitely a no-brainer for the carrier. Very soon, Republic Wireless will be able to offer the entire Moto trio of smartphones to its subscribers.
Wireless communications service provider Republic Wireless has been here before. After all, it launched the Moto X phone in November 2013, and last year in the month of April, it also launched the Moto G handset. Now, Republic Wireless is set to launch another Motorola device -- this time it is the Moto E handset. As stated in its company blog, Republic Wireless will be introducing the Moto E smartphone to users in October of this year for $99.00.
