Apple’s GymKit has landed for the first time in the North American continent in a gym located right in New York City, the Life Time Athletic at Sky. But the feature is heading to Equinox by next year. GymKit actually has already rolled out in two gyms in the United Kingdom, while in Australia, no less than five gyms already got the feature.
WatchOS 4.1, the newest version of Apple’s operating system for wearable devices, is expected to be rolled out before the start of November. A number of reports are surfacing recently, stating that the Apple Watch Series 3, specifically the LTE compatible edition, is encountering issues related to connectivity. Because of this, Apple’s shares were reported to have dropped about 2.5 percent today. 2.5 percent may seem like a small percentage, but considering that the iPhone maker’s worth is valued at over $800 billion, that dip is equivalent to about $20 billion.
The preorder period for Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus devices, as well as its Apple Watch Series 3, has officially started. Not surprisingly, it appears that the demand is comfortably outpacing the supply. The iPhone 8 models and the latest version of Apple’s smartwatch are supposed to be made available next week, specifically on September 22nd, but as recently reported by CNET, the shipping schedule of specific editions of the iPhone 8 devices are now listed as one to two weeks.
Introducing the Apple Watch Series 3, which will likely be known to future generations as the first Apple Watch model to come with LTE connectivity. The Apple Watch Series 3 will officially launch launch later this month to 15 countries across the globe, with prices starting at $399 for the cellular edition and then $329 for a unit with no cellular connectivity. Apple will start accepting preorders for the latest Apple Watch this coming Friday, September 15th.

Although the wearables market has been noticeably having a hard time in the United States mobile market, it is actually doing okay across the globe. As a matter of fact, the latest report from Canalys indicates that wearables are showing an 8 percent improvement year over year. Sure, that 8 percent growth may not be jaw dropping, but it is growth nonetheless.
According to recent reports, Apple is apparently planning to release an LTE edition of its one and only smartwatch offering, the Apple Watch. If this turns out to be true, the tech giant will have basically liberated the wearable device from being dependent on the iPhone for connectivity.
