For the nth time, T-Mobile yet again unveils a new promotion. This time around, the carrier is saying that it will lock in the price of its iPhone to $15 per month. This applies to any person who purchases an iPhone device now with every intention to upgrade to the next iPhone model coming out later this year.
This latest special offer by T-Mobile is part of its Uncarrier Amped campaign, a program which seeks to upgrade the carrier’s existing services and even add new features for its subscribers. As all other competing wireless carriers also continue to introduce their own share of promotions, it seems that T-Mobile is also raising the intensity of its campaigns.
The last few weeks have certainly seen the carrier show aggressiveness in trying to attract new customers to its fold or retain its existing base of subscribers. Some may remember that in the later part of last month, T-Mobile announced its new Jump! On Demand program, which allows subscribers to upgrade their smartphones up to three times in one year. And then in the first half of this month, the carrier also launched its Mobile Without Borders initiative, which let subscribers use their mobile devices while in Canada and Mexico without needing to pay any international roaming fees. And just roughly a couple of weeks ago, T-Mobile also unveiled a new family plan that provides 10 gigabytes of data for each member.
As for the latest special offer, T-Mobile further expounded it is offering a price lock of $15 for any customer who purchases an iPhone before Labor Day, and when that customer decides to upgrade to the new iPhone launching later this year, the monthly fee will remain the same at $15 per month.
T-Mobile has also decided to add Apple Music to its Music Freedom program. For those not in the know, the Music Freedom program allows subscribers to stream music without having to worry about their data allotments being used up. The service was launched in the summer of 2014, and since then, the carrier has been continuously adding new music apps to the service. The latest addition, of course, is one that should delight T-Mobile’s music loving subscribers, especially those who own devices that run on iOS. Apple Music is the new music streaming subscription service that Apple announced back in June earlier this year. And despite being relatively new to the field of music streaming, industry watchers are already saying that Apple’s new service will likely go head to head against more established service providers like Spotify and Pandora.
