Wirefly Learn » Android Phones

June 9th, 2011

New cell phones continue to be released rapidly this year, with Sprint dominating the most recent announcements. Although the HTC EVO 3D has yet to start shipping to customers, today Sprint announced another powerful phone that will compete with the EVO 3D at the top of Sprint’s Android line: the Motorola Photon 4G. Much has yet to be learned about the Photon but there are also many enticing bits of information that are now known, and there are several technical details that differ between the EVO 3D and the Photon.

The EVO line has been highly successful for Sprint, putting the carrier at the forefront of the recent Android revolution. The question just now starting to form in the minds of smartphone fans is whether or not the Motorola Photon can replace the EVO as the premier Android phone for Sprint. Let’s take a closer look at the Photon and compare it to the HTC EVO 3D, and see how the two compare and contrast.
