Now the popular Verizon Wireless Smartphones Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR Maxx will receive a free upgrade to Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest Android Operating System.

If you have either of these phones, some of the new features that you will experience include Face Unlock, Direct Access Lock Screen, and Enhanced Voice Input. Face Unlock enables the phone to recognize its owner and automatically unlock the display. Direct Access Lock Screen allows you to access the camera, send a text message, and make a call from the lock screen. Enhanced Voice Input technology means you can dictate a text message or email and even make edits with your voice.

With the software update as well the DROID RAZR and RAZR Maxx will now be able to get voice and data service when traveling internationally in over 220 countries. This update makes the DROID RAZR and RAZR Maxx the first 4G LTE Verizon Smartphones to be Global Ready.
