Cell phone cases... What catches our eye today may not look as great tomorrow! I've owned the same case since I got my phone, but it's only looked the same a handful of times. Yes I am a crafty person by nature, but the beauty of this tutorial is anyone can create an amazing case. With clear cases running about $10, add in a $.50 sheet of paper and that's about it! Take a look below at the items you'll need. You don't want the paper to be too thick (regular printer or scrapbook paper is just fine), and can find it at any local hobby store (even Walmart and Target are well stocked with scrapbook paper these days).
Have a more creative personality? There are numerous templates (Photoshop and Illustrator) available for the cases allowing you to incorporate images and text more easily BEFORE you print! You'll want to make sure you leave a little bleed room, which not all templates take into consideration. Pop in a photo of your spouse, child, dog, cat, sports team... The possibilities really are endless (especially fun with the availability of free digital scrapbook papers)!

You'll need the following items for this tutorial:
1. Take the case and trace it on the paper.
2. Cut out
3. Place paper in case. Trace and cut out camera opening (if one exists). An Exacto knife can be handy for this step, or a small pair of scissors.
4. Embellish the paper, add photos, draw, color, etc! Be careful not to add thick items as it will result in your phone not fitting.
5. Place paper in case and attach your phone!
Now you can change your cell phone case as often as you like for pennies on the dollar! Try not to use thick embellishments as your case won't stay attached to your phone. In this case thinner paper is better. If you have Photoshop software you can download free digital scrapbook paper, add your own images and print out a large variety of custom cases. The possibilities are endless!
