Online fax services are much more convenient than having to search and find a physical fax machine. It can be cumbersome to have to call around town to see which office supply stores or shipping locations have fax machines. While some of them do have fax machines, it’s always risky to use them, and your trip could be wasted if the machine is not well maintained or in working order.
Also, when faxing documents, it’s essential to have a certain level of privacy, and you don’t want people looking over your shoulder at your proprietary documents.
Reliable and convenient online fax services are so much easier to use. The FAX.PLUS fax service is an excellent service that features a free plan, several pricing options, and convenient mobile apps that are easy to use.
The service also features document signing through their mobile apps along with the ability to schedule faxes. It’s simple to use and allows for a more dynamic faxing experience.
With a host of added features and functionality, there are many reasons we like FAX.PLUS.
The free plan offers ten total pages per month. The basic plan offers 100 pages per month for $5.99. Their premium plan is $11.99 per month for 300 pages, business offers 800 pages per month for $19.99, and enterprise has 3000 pages per month for $59.99. There are also discounts available for annual billing.
Additional services offered by FAX.PLUS are mobile applications, electronic signature support, and unlimited fax storage. They have local fax numbers and toll-free numbers for $4.99 per month, and even a vanity number of your choice for a one time charge of $19.99. You can also port your existing phone number at no additional cost.

FAX.PLUS can also arrange for specific numbers in particular areas, and they offer easy to remember phone numbers for an extra fee.
The free plan only lets you send faxes, and after sending ten pages in a month’s time, there is a fee of $0.20 per additional page. The free plan also offers more than one fax recipient, electronic signatures, and the ability to use the mobile app.
HelloFax also has a free plan that allows you to send up to five free pages per month, with a fee of $0.99 per Fax up to ten pages for additional faxes. It’s a fairly good deal; however, you can’t send faxes to more than one recipient at the same time.
Another service, FaxZero, has a free send-only faxing option. This service provides five faxes of up to three pages per Fax, and the limit resets daily.
There is a less expensive option in MetroFax. They have a plan that allows for 500 faxed pages for $7.95 per month. RingCentral Fax is another economical option at $7.99, and they have another plan for $14.99 per month that offers 750 faxed pages. Both companies have reasonable overage fees as well, at an average of $0.036 per page.
There are also international faxing capabilities available. FAX.PLUS allows you to deduct a certain number of pages from your monthly allowance in your plan. For example, a one-page fax to New Zealand could subtract two or three pages from your monthly plan.
When you first sign up for FAX.PLUS, you will give your name, email address, and password to get started. They will also ask for a telephone number to verify the account. There is also two-factor authentication for added security. To get your account set up, look for your profile settings, and scroll down to the security section, click on enable the two-factor authentication option. You will see a QR code pop up that you can scan with your authenticator app on your mobile phone. There is also a biometric login option available for mobile phones.
FAX.PLUS also has mobile apps for iOS and Android. It’s also better to have online fax services that offer dedicated mobile apps for ease and convenience. It makes faxing more accessible when you can access and send them on the go from your preferred device. You can simply take a picture of the fax document and send it to your recipient right away with FAX.PLUS. The service also integrates with Google App Suite and Microsoft Office. Other fax services with mobile apps include MetroFax, MyFax, and eFax.
FAX.PLUS has an easy to use web interface and user design, although the user interfaces for mFax and HelloFax tend to have a more elegant user interface. It’s still much better than some of the other services like Send2Fax, eFax, and MetroFax. These services still have very old looking webmail service interfaces.
Also, FAX.PLUS had no performance issues, which is important. The FAX.PLUS interface features faxing options across the top along with four different tabs. They include profile, contacts, Fax, send, and archive. There are also resources for support and contact information on the top right-hand corner.
FAX.PLUS adds to the user experience with clear explanations on the web interface. It’s simple to edit your details in the profile section, updating numbers, and making a note of any email addresses that need to be added for fax-to-email features. It even allows you to change notification preferences easily.
The section on archives is all about organization as you can arrange faxes into various folders, and it’s similar to email with options like the inbox, outbox, sent, trash, and spam. The page is very useful, and it displays your fax number prominently at the top just in case you are on a call and need to provide it to a client.
There is also a search bar for locating faxes quickly by search terms like the sender, recipient, status, keyword, and date. The vertical ellipsis icon lets you add a note, edit, and delete it. You can also forward faxes to new recipients on your content list and download them. There is a blacklist where you can block communications or add new senders to your contact list. The contact page is dynamic, and you can manually add contacts, manage and create groups of contacts, and even import information from Excel spreadsheets.
It’s easy to send a fax online with FAX.PLUS, simply type in your area code and phone number or select a contact from your list and add in the text or an attachment to your Fax. You can schedule the Fax, which is also a feature with online fax services Biscom 1-2-3 and RingCentral Fax.
The message can also be automatically resent to the recipient if it fails the first time. Another unique feature is that you can email your contact a PDF copy of the fax.
Using your existing email service is a breeze as FAX.PLUS has this capability. When addressing the email, simply add the fax number of your recipient and include “@fax.plus” to the end. Include your text note and add something in the subject line. You can even add an attachment like you would when sending an email.
Be sure to use the email you signed up with at FAX.PLUS, or simply add any additional emails to your profile settings so that you can use them to send faxes this way.
There is also a bonus service integration with a popular productivity tool called Zapier, which was recently introduced by FAX.PLUS.
The service also allows businesses and large enterprises to effortlessly move fax documents and text notes to the cloud with their special cloud services. Moving these documents to the cloud can save your company time and money. It’s also reliable and secure and scalable. Your employees will love having the ability to access documents from where ever they are and from any device. It’s simply more convenient to use.
Fax.Plus offers some of the top mobile applications from any of the fax services. Their apps designs are consistent, high quality, and clean looking. They are user-friendly, just like the web interface. There were no productivity or speed issues when testing the apps. Fax.Plus had the best performing apps because of stability and ease of use, although it’s competitors like MyFax, eFax, and MetroFax offered well-performing mobile apps for their services as well.
Fax.Plus has an app that is similar to the web interface and divided into four different sections with the following headings: profile, archive, send Fax, and contacts. They also have more special features like the ability to add checkmarks and to sign documents.
To sign a document, sign in and open a fax. Tap the sign document icon located in the upper right-hand corner. You can also add a checkmark and edit or delete it if needed.
eFax and HelloFax also have options to sign documents online, which Fax.Plus is lacking. Hopefully, they will consider adding this feature too.
While we tested these services using traditional fax machines as not many offices have them anymore, we have switched over to using online fax services to test others. We send faxes between several online services to see how well they perform. No one really uses physical fax machines anymore because online services are so much more convenient.
We experienced high performance with FAX.PLUS. There were no problems with the service. The service was average and on par with others as far as sending and receiving faxes. The text from all of the transmissions was clear and legible; however, at times, the designs at the top became somewhat warped and lost a small amount of detail in the process.
Considering that online fax services are not to be used for sending and receiving high-quality documents, the text should be legible and clear to read. This is where FAX.PLUS excels.

Online faxing services are a modern convenience. It’s just not practical to have a big and bulky fax machine on your desk to send and receive faxes anymore. More people are turning to online fax services because of convenience and ease. Pricing is also more flexible and affordable with these services.
Fax.Plus offers an exceptional web interface and high-performance mobile apps for your devices when you need to send a fax on the go. They provide various options for selecting your own fax number along with a host of plans to suit most every budget.
There are also several useful services like document signing, custom faxing from your own personal email, Zapier integration to get more done, and the ability to add checkmarks to your documents.
Although the faxing quality for documents sent and received from Fax.Plus is relatively average, the added features and stress-free interfaces make it a highly desirable service for many of your faxing needs.
