Does your iPhone screen look a little more...yellow than normal? There's no need to panic - it's a common issue that doesn't mean your phone is broken. Here's what you can do about it.
If your iPhone looks yellow, you've probably accidentally turned on the "Night Shift" function. It's a new feature that is designed to aid people's ability by sleep by gradually filtering out certain colors as the day goes on.
It might sound crazy, but research has proven that bright blue colors can actually trick our brain into believing that it's still daytime. This, naturally affects your ability to sleep.
The controls for the Night Shift setting are located in the bottom of the screen in your phone's Control Center. Simply tap the Sun/Moon icon located at the bottom of the screen to turn this possibly unwanted function off.
If you're having difficulty finding this setting in the Control Center, you can also look for it in your iPhone Settings. Using this method, simply select Display and Brightness, then Night Shift. Then, all you have to do is tap the switch that reads "Manually Enable Until Tomorrow".
If you'd rather not go through these steps again, you can follow the same steps as above (Settings, Display and Brightness, Night Shift), but then you'll want to touch the switch that says Scheduled.
This will make it so your iPhone never automatically goes into this mode again. It might not be a big deal to some people, but for anyone who works with graphics, photos, or videos, it can drastically decrease the quality of your mobile experience.
If you actually enjoy Night Shift, but your phone won't go into this mode, your phone is probably in Low Power Mode. To change this, simply go to Settings, then Battery. Tap the switch next to "Low Power Mode" so it is disabled.
The reaction to this iPhone feature has been mixed, to say the least. Although it's not some sort of cure for insomnia, many people report being able to sleep better now that they use it.
