Cricket Wireless is currently giving interested individuals a free trial of their brand.
The AT&T-owned prepaid brand gives customers a 14-day trial of their services through the tryCricket app. Unfortunately, the app is currently only available on iOS devices.
If you are eligible, you can get unlimited talk, text, and 3GB of data for 14 days. Only one trial per person is permitted and there is a maximum of five people per household address.
After signing up, Cricket will give you a trial phone number. You won’t be able to keep this number or port it to another carrier. Cricket gives a free trial to both eSIM and physical SIM card customers.
Cricket and AT&T Prepaid are currently running some deals on specific devices from Apple, Samsung, and Motorola. If you’re looking for a new device to purchase, these are some of the deals they are currently running:
Apple iPhone SE (2020) 64GB - $29.99 when you switch to Cricket and activate at least $60/month plan
Apple iPhone SE (2020) 128GB - $99.99 when you switch to Cricket and activate at least $60/month plan
Cricket Dream 5G - $189.99 when you switch to Cricket and activate at least $60/month plan
Boost Mobile has released a new unlimited plan that costs only $25 per month.
This is a back-to-school promotion that Boost is doing to compete with its rivals, Cricket Wireless and Metro by T-Mobile. On its homepage, Boost is not being coy with its advertising since it directly says “go back to school with up to 50% off Metro & Cricket.”
The promotion includes a free SIM card and free shipping. The $25 unlimited plan comes with unlimited talk, text, and 30GB high-speed data.
Cricket Wireless has released a new slogan: “people who come to Cricket stay with Cricket.” Along with this, the AT&T prepaid brand has launched a few TV ads and videos that talk about its retention program. And true enough, this is evidenced in AT&T’s Q2 2022 earnings report where they had less than 3% churn rate.
Back in June, it was reported that AT&T removed the free HBO Max offer on its Unlimited Elite plans. At that time, the wireless carrier did not make this decision public. They also did not give any reason for pulling the plug on the free offer. But today, it looks like this free perk is returning once again.
