Earlier today, T-Mobile held an Un-Carrier event where it talked about bringing #5GforAll.
One of the ways to make this possible is by making 5G phones more accessible to their customers. To be more specific, they are giving a free 5G smartphone with trade-in to new and existing postpaid customers. This is under the new promotion called the Great Free 5G Phone Upgrade.
Under this promotion, T-Mobile will be giving away a Samsung Galaxy A32 5G to its new and existing postpaid customers who trade-in any old phone in working condition. They even plan to accept flip phones.
It looks like Tello Mobile does not currently support 5G on iPhones.
This revelation comes after Tello has been pushing its 5G service to its customers. Earlier this month, the company started offering its 5G service through its blog. It also had this to say about phone compatibility:
“To benefit from this new smarter and faster technology, you’ll have to have a phone that’s capable of doing all that. If you’d like to bring your 5G-capable device to Tello Mobile, just make sure it’s unlocked and GSM compatible.”
After its iPhone 12 Pro Max device was revealed to be the most popular 5G device in the US right now, it has seen an increase of 67.6% in stocks over the past year. And today marks another milestone for Apple as all of its 270 stateside brick and mortar stores have reopened for business.
Earlier today, Apple announced that all of its stores in Texas have been reopened. Prior to this announcement, these were the remaining stores that were closed due to the pandemic. This is the first time that Apple has opened its doors since the health crisis started in the country a year ago.
Boost Mobile is currently offering a number of free phones to those interested in switching to their network. The promotion is part of the Dish Network-owned prepaid brand’s tax season offers. Apart from offering an iPhone SE for $49.99 to switchers, Boost has a few free Android devices to give away. They also have a free month of service for BYOD customers.
iPhone SE for $49.99
Boost has continuously been offering the iPhone SE at different prices for months. Now, they have changed the offer for switchers and are offering the device at $49.99. But you will need to activate service under Boost’s $60 unlimited plan that comes with unlimited calls, texts, and 35GB of high-speed data.
Now that there are plenty of different 5G models available in the market, it’s time to figure out which ones of these people enjoy using the most. Thankfully, this is what Ookla and research firm M Science focused on in their latest study. And as they discovered, the US is actually a nation of iPhone users.
The two researchers turned into usage and sales numbers for 5G devices in the country to determine the most popular 5G device. And according to their research, the most popular 5G phone in 49 out of 50 states is the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The only deviance out of the US states is Vermont, which marks the iPhone 12 Pro as the most popular 5G device.
Out of the different models available, the top five most popular 5G phones are:

For quite some time now, Google Fi’s VPN service has been available exclusively to Android users in beta. But as revealed by Google today, this is about to change.
With today’s news, VPN is now coming to iPhone devices. In addition to this, all Android users will also be getting VPN service.
“After listening to your feedback and making performance improvements, we’re taking the Fi VPN out of beta for Android phone users. This means you can get the benefits of the VPN while also getting a faster, stronger connection across your apps and services.”
Visible, a Verizon-owned prepaid brand, has just made a total of four important announcements today.
For starters, the company welcomed the availability of 5G in their network. And they also have unveiled a series of supported phones that they offer. The best part about today’s announcement is that all customers get to enjoy 5G service for free.
Ever since it launched three years ago, Visible has always offered one plan: an unlimited 4G plan for $40/month. Starting today, customers get access to Verizon’s 5G Sub-6 network and mmWave network. Unfortunately, the plan comes with a 200Mbps 5G speed cap.
