This overhauled version now promises a more efficient and easy way for users to share their files and upload their folders. The overall aim of the redesign of the Dropbox app for Android was to achieve a more seamless user experience, especially with regards to how users interact with the app's user interface. Also, the new version features an enhanced search function, which is now situated on the top area of the user interface. Taken as a whole, these adjustments and new features should provide for a more convenient way of sharing and managing files and folders.
The introduction of a redesigned version of its Android app also marks a significant stepping stone for Dropbox. Right now, the company is still in the midst of finding the right look and feel for its mobile apps, after having been a presence on desktop computers for several years now.
