The HTC One (M8) for Windows was recently seen on T-Mobile's online store early this November. While it was good news for T-Mobile subscribers who are fans of the HTC device, many were hesitant to celebrate just yet because the handset was only listed as "Coming Soon". T-Mobile also had not provided any launch date.
Now those same fans have every reason to celebrate. The HTC One (M8) for Windows is officially launching at T-Mobile on November 19th. This has been confirmed through a tweet from T-Mobile's official Twitter account.
The HTC One (M8) smartphone is considered one of the well-regarded smartphone releases in 2014. It certainly is a significant improvement on past HTC One models. It comes with a full metal frame that helps incorporate elegance and durability to the handset's build. Initially only available in Android versions, the HTC One (M8) later spawned a version that runs on Windows Phone, the mobile operating system developed by Microsoft.
Now that version is about to be available in T-Mobile. Customers can get the HTC One (M8) for Windows at T-Mobile for $0 down and 24 payments of $24.40 each month. Or they can opt to purchase the device at its full retail price of $585.60.
With the HTC One (M8) for Windows, T-Mobile subscribers are in for a nice treat. The device features a 2.3 GigaHertz Snapdragon 801 processor supported with 2 gigabytes of random access memory (RAM). This makes it by far one of the fastest benchmarked among devices that run on the Windows Phone system.
With regards to specifications, the HTC One (M8) Windows impresses. It has a 5-inch 1920 by 1080 super LCD3 display screen complemented with an UltraPixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It also offers 32 gigabytes of internal storage, plus a microSD slot for cards of up to 128 gigabytes. It also has a 2,600 mAh battery.
It is also loaded with other features that include DotView case support, dual front-facing BoomSound speakers, and infra-red remote.
The fact that the HTC One (M8) for Windows is launching at T-Mobile bodes well for the device. After all, it only started out as an exclusive smartphone offering by Verizon Wireless. Later, it made its way to the shelves of AT&T. It might not be as widely available as its Android cousin, but being present on the shelves of three major carriers in the United States is certainly not bad.
