Cloud-based communications firm magicJack VocalTec Ltd recently launched its magicApp Premium for iOS, which has the ability to turn any iOS device that is Wi-Fi- or 4G-enabled into a functional mobile phone.
By paying $1.99 a month, customers already get a US phone number, unlimited local and long distance calls to the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, and unlimited text messaging to any mobile number in the US.
magicApp can be used as a standalone mobile voice service on iOS devices such as iPhones, iPads, or iPods either for business purposes or for personal use. It can also be utilized as an additional line on any iPhone.
Long distance calling usually comes with expensive wireless carrier charges. But through the use of magicApp, customers can just connect any iOS device through Wi-Fi, then choose a US number, and then get to enjoy unlimited long distance, as well as local calling not only to the United States, but also in other regions such as Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. Plus, customers can get unlimited text messaging to any phone number under a wireless carrier in the US.
But starting today, those who make full use of magicApp, including the magicJackGO device, will get to have the new fully featured magicApp Premium for iOS, with no additional charges at all.

But with magicApp Premium for iOS, the cloud-based communications firm is now targeting to shake up the mobile industry by letting users turn their Wi-Fi or 4G-enabled iOS devices into mobile phones, complete with a US number, plus unlimited talk and text, all for just under a couple of bucks every month.
And compared with other similar app competitors, magicApp has a distinct advantage -- it allows customers to make calls to mobile phone numbers and even landline numbers, not just to other users of the app.
magicJack VocalTec is a pioneer in Voice over IP (VoIP) related services, holding over 30 technology patents in that area. For several years, the company has provided low cost and user friendly telecommunications via its magicJack devices, which have sold more than 10 million units to date (it is now in its third generation), as well as garnering awards. magicJack VocalTec also has millions of downloads for its magicApp.
