You can access songs from any screen on your iOS mobile device through the use of Apple's Control Center. However, you will only be limited to using playback controls. When iOS 8 launched with extensions back in September of last year, various app developers have found new ways of exploiting the latest iOS version's added functionality.
Music Center is an example of a mobile app that is designed to allow users to put their music library in Notification Center. However, other users may find it limiting too -- there are in-app purchases that needed to be made in order to unlock all of the mobile app's features.
Luckily for these users, a certain developer named Emmanuel Ware has decided to make his own version of a mobile app that lets users control music from notification center without having to make any in-app purchases. Yes, his creation, Music Zone Widget, is completely free and is now available for download to all iOS users.
Once users have downloaded Music Zone Widget, all they need to do is add it to the Today panel in Notification Center. To do this, they will have to swipe down from the top of their screens to display Notification Center, and then select the Today tab. The next step is to scroll to the bottom of the panel and tap on Edit. Tapping on the green circle beside Music Zone Widget will enable it (tapping on the red circle will remove the widget from the Today panel). Once users have done that and activated the widget, they only need to swipe down from the top of the screen of their iOS devices in order to access the music library. By default, the layout looks like a pattern with five circles, with each circle leading to a particular section of your music library.
After users start playing any of the songs in their catalog, they can continue to explore other selections from their music library and even begin playing another track. With the use of the dedicated mobile app, users can put new songs to the On Deck section, which functions much as a dedicated playlist for Music Zone Widget.
Music Zone Widget is compatible with any iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch that runs on iOS 8.1 or newer iOS versions. Furthermore, the mobile app is optimized for the iPhone 5, the iPhone 6, and the iPhone 6 Plus.
