According to its official press release, US Mobile has announced that it has launched its wireless service on the biggest LTE network in the United States mobile market. The mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) also stated that it is targeting to reach 150,000 customers by the end of next year.
Moreover, the carrier also debuted its iPhone X offer. The deal promises to give $200 to customers who are willing to activate an iPhone X on US Mobile’s LTE network. The two hundred bucks will be paid by way of bill credits. The company also took the opportunity to debut tiered unlimited plans according to connection speeds, which are as follows:
While it is true that US Mobile did not mention the name of the wireless carrier it is partnering with, many are expecting it to be industry leader Verizon Wireless. As revealed by the MVNO, the offering with its carrier partner will be positioned as the “new Super LTE network,” while its usual wireless service will be re-positioned as “GSM LTE.” US Mobile is also launching several monthly wireless service options for the new offering, and although these options can be freely customized, their pricing may be different compared to the carrier’s current plans.
US Mobile started out as a GSM based mobile operator more than a couple of years ago. By late last year, the MVNO had expanded its customer base to 20,000. Mainly going for college student customers as well as senior users, it designed its plans to be easily customizable. People can just set their preferred wireless service inclusions, basically enjoying close to 400 options for monthly plan combos. To illustrate, a user can avail of 500 minutes of voice calls for $6 per month, and combine that with a thousand text messages (that’s $5 per month) and 5 gigabytes of data (that’s $28 per month). That user’s total monthly bill would be $39, plus a monthly service fee of $2.
Before its recent Super LTE network offering, US Mobile had also launched its Unlimited WiFi plan back in July earlier this year. Billed as the biggest unlimited WiFi plan in the planet, the carrier’s Unlimited WiFi basically promises unlimited access to WiFi on 20 premiere airline companies (including American Airlines, Delta, and Virgin America), as well as access to at least 35 million hotspots across America and to over 60 million WiFi hotspots in more than 120 countries around the world, for a flat fee of just $10 per month.
