Like most people, you may be using your smartphone for a lot of things. And if you frequently use the Google Chrome browser on your phone, you may need to update it as soon as possible.
MUO recently reported that an exploit is affecting Android devices. The report shared that the exploit allows a malicious app to have remote control over your smartphone.
To get rid of the high-level risk, you will need to update Chrome to version 103.0.5060.71. This update includes security patch that fixes the exploit. The report says that lower versions are exposed to this exploit.
PhoneArena says this is a serious issue that has reportedly been exploited by those with malicious intentions. Google has confirmed that “an exploit for CVE-2022-2204 exists in the wild.” Make sure to check which Chrome browser version you’re using to keep yourself secure.
