Aside from increasing the prices on its legacy plans, AT&T has shut down its popular community forum page. Despite having high activity on a daily basis, the wireless carrier decided to shut down the page.
The forum has almost 890,000 posts ever since it was created. It is the site where people go to when they need to ask questions about their plans, phones, promos, technical, or software issues. When you open the page now, you’ll find a warning that reads:
"Our Community Forum will be shutting down on June 27, 2024. Please visit att.com/support for all your support needs."
AT&T also released a statement to Light Reading:
“After careful consideration, we've made the decision to sunset our Community Forums. We're committed to providing our customers with the best support experience possible, and we believe this can be accomplished through our dedicated expert care support channels, where they have the option to engage with us directly.”
There’s no word on what led AT&T to make this decision, especially since its forum page is a valuable community resource for them.
