It looks like Boost Mobile’s Shrink-It plan will no longer be offered in a few days.
As reported by Wave7 Research, the popular plan will be discontinued starting June 2. This means that you will no longer be able to activate the plan or switch to it after that date.
It is pretty disappointing because this is a plan that Dish Network first brought back when it acquired Boost Mobile. The Shrink-It plan has been available for just a year before it is getting removed.
The good thing about the Shrink-It plan is that it was designed to reward customers the longer they stay on the network. As they continue to keep their plan, customers get to enjoy discounts on their monthly plan.
Boost Mobile offered the Shrink-It plan at $45/month and it already included 15GB of high-speed data before throttling. Once customers are able to make three consecutive on-time payments, the price of the plan goes down to $40/month. And after another three months of consecutive on-time payments, the plan drops to just $35/month.
In addition to discontinuing the Shrink-It plan, Boost Mobile will also be discontinuing its Family Plan on June 2nd. This in-store only plan came with 12GB of high-speed data at $60 for 2 lines, $90 for 3 lines, $120 for 4 lines, and $150 for 5 lines. Existing customers who wish to keep this plan will be grandfathered.
Perhaps Boost Mobile will introduce a new plan to replace the ones that they are discontinuing. We’ll know for sure in the coming weeks.
