Carriers in the country are slowly adapting to eSIM support. Metro by T-Mobile launched this feature in July for its customers and today, another prepaid brand is making this available.
Without any announcements, Cricket Wireless has rolled out eSIM activation on select iPhone devices. This can be done via stores and via customer care.
As noted by BestMVNO, Cricket is the first major prepaid retailer to offer in-store eSIM support. And if you buy a new iPhone, Cricket will offer eSIM activation to you.
Here are the models that are compatible with Cricket’s eSIM support:
Apple iPhone 11 series
Apple iPhone 12 series
Apple iPhone 13 series
Apple iPhone SE 2020
Apple iPhone SE 2022
Apple iPhone XR
Apple iPhone XS
Apple iPhone XS Max
At this time, Android devices are not supported by Cricket’s eSIM support. But it should be available shortly.
Cricket has not yet announced availability of this feature. But you can already search the website to look for details regarding eSIM activation.
