Earlier this week, there were reports that suggested Republic Wireless could be closing. The report comes from Wave7 Research and was shared by BestMVNO. But in a follow up article, Fierce Wireless says the report is “greatly exaggerated.”
Fierce Wireless spoke to a representative from Dish, who said:
“Republic Wireless is still in operation and remains a valued brand for DISH’s retail wireless business.”
While the earlier report has been debunked, there was no confirmation whether the company plans to shut down the brand in the future.
As noted by BestMVNO, Republic Wireless has been inactive on its social media pages last year. Not to mention, it shut down its online community forums in November. Despite these, the company’s website continues to be live and offers various plans for interested customers.
