For quite some time now, Google Fi has been giving its customers a VPN service that will let them protect their data when they are online. The service, however, has long been exclusive to Android devices. But the company recently revealed that they are expanding this service to iPhone users.
This is good news for iPhone device users. With this announcement, Google Fi customers with an iPhone can start using the VPN service on their device. This way, they can stream, browse, and download files using an encrypted and private connection.
Another advantage of using a VPN service is to protect customers against hackers while using an unsecured network. This also prevents websites from using the user’s IP address to track their location.
If you are a Google Fi customer with an iPhone, you can enable the VPN service on your device. To do this, you will need to go to Phone settings > Privacy & security > Protect your online activity. Once you have enabled this, you will receive a pop-up. Make sure you choose Got it and Allow so that the service will be enabled in your phone. You will then be required to enter your passcode or fingerprint to complete the process.
You will know that your VPN service is enabled when you see an icon on the status bar whenever you’re connected.
