Google Fi has just made changes to two of its unlimited plans. Apart from cutting prices on these plans, the MVNO has increased their high-speed data allotment.
With the new changes in place, the plans now look like this:
Simply Unlimited Plan - $50 per month and 35GB high-speed data (previously $60 per month and 22GB only)
Unlimited Plus Plan - $65 per month and 50GB high-speed data (previously $70 per month and 22GB only)
Once you exceed your limit, your data will be throttled.
In addition to adding more high-speed data, Google Fi is adding 5GB for hotspot tethering to the Simply Unlimited plan. This is a feature that was previously exclusive to the Unlimited Plus plan.
Another change that has been made is that the two plans now come with unlimited calls within Canada and Mexico. Prior to this, users could only make free calls to either country but not while traveling in them. This change is also extended on Google Fi’s pay-as-you-go Flexible plan with no change. Calls to both countries are now free under this plan.
