Google has good news to Pixel phone users! Starting today, the fourth and final beta version of Android 15 will be rolled out to Pixel devices.
As shared by GSM Arena, the Android 15 beta 2 version came with new features like Private Spaces, AV1 video decoder, and many more. With the third beta version, Google finalized the APIs, which allowed developers to start testing against the new additions.
Compared to that beta version and the fourth (final) version, the only noticeable change between the two versions is the deprecated PNG-based emoji font. This means that apps can now run the latest Android 15 version.
The device models that now support Android 15 include the following:
Pixel 6
Pixel 6 Pro
Pixel 6a
Pixel 7
Pixel 7 Pro
Pixel 7a
Pixel Tablet
Pixel Fold
Pixel 8
Pixel 8 Pro
Pixel 8a
If you are using any of these devices, you can update to the latest OS now. Or you can opt to wait a couple of weeks for a more stable version. It’s also worth noting that the release of Android 15 OS will depend on each manufacturer and carrier.
