Believe it or not, there are still a number of people in the US who are using Google Pay instead of Google Wallet. Unfortunately, Google has some bad news for these customers.
Earlier today, the tech giant announced its plans to integrate its payment apps in the country. This means that it will be sunsetting the Google Pay app on June 4, 2024. If you are still using Google Pay, Google recommends that you make the switch to Google Wallet for a seamless experience.
In its announcement, Google listed down three changes that app users need to know about this transition. After June 4, you can view your balance and transfer your funds to your bank account via the Google Pay website.
If you are looking for deals or offers, you will need to use another option, such as Search’s shop deals feature.
Another important thing to remember is that after the deadline, you will no longer be able to send, request, or receive money via the US version of Google Pay.
Google shares that Google Pay users in India and Singapore will not be affected by these changes. The company even plans to “continue to build for the unique needs in those countries.”
