A hacker has claimed responsibility for allegedly hacking T-Mobile this month. After gaining entry to T-Mo’s source code, the bad actor, known as IntelBroker, has published a number of screenshots to prove he has administrative access to a Confluence server. The screenshots also show access to T-Mo’s internal Slack channels designed for developers.
IntelBroker is said to have connections to other data breaches. The threat actor is selling T-Mobile’s “Source code, SQL files, Images, Terraform data, t-mobile.com certifications, Siloprograms.” Bleeping Computer’s source says that the data being sold is from “older screenshots” that were posted to third-party vendor’s servers “where it was stolen.”
T-Mobile has answered the alleged hack and said that it was not hacked and its source code was not stolen.
“T-Mobile systems have not been compromised. We are actively investigating a claim of an issue at a third-party service provider. We have no indication that T-Mobile customer data or source code was included and can confirm that the bad actor’s claim that T-Mobile’s infrastructure was accessed is false.”
The Un-carrier is “actively investigating” this claim.
