Mint Mobile is now offering eSIM to compatible iPhones.
As revealed on a Reddit thread, Mint Mobile customers can now activate eSIM on their compatible device. New customers can even enjoy eSIM upon activation. All you have to do is choose eSIM as your shipping method upon checkout.
Right now, there are only a handful of iPhone models that support eSIM. The list includes iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, the new iPhone SE, and all models under the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 series. You can also click here to learn more about compatibility.
Once you get eSIM, you will be able to access Mint Mobile’s 5G network. Unfortunately though, you will need to disable Dual SIM mode on your iPhone 12 devices to be able to use 5G.
If you are an existing customer who is ready to switch to eSIM, here are the steps involved:
Make sure your app is updated
Login to the app: Account > Order Replacement SIM. Provide a form of payment for your replacement SIM but you won’t be charged anything upon completion.
Select “Get an eSIM”
Select “This is my new device”. Make sure that the device you are using is the one where eSIM will be installed on.
Tap “Checkout”
Once your application has been processed, you will receive a prompt instructing you to install your eSIM. Follow these steps so you can set your eSIM.
