A new year is fast approaching and it looks like OnePlus is getting ready to unveil its latest smartphone.
According to leaks, OnePlus’ latest smartphone will be revealed in January. This was confirmed by OnePlus co-founder and CEO, Pete Lau, on Weibo as well. The CEO wrote: “OnePlus 10 Pro, see you in January.”
This is a big change compared to the past announcements made by the smartphone manufacturer. Over the past few years, the company has made it a habit to announce its flagship smartphones in March or April; and usually follows the latest Samsung Galaxy S unveiling. Instead, OnePlus will be revealing the device in January.
Another important change to the reveal is that OnePlus will only be launching one device. The practice has always been to showcase a base model along with a Pro version. OnePlus has also launched a T-series model in past events. But sources say that they won’t be releasing a 9T model this year.
According to leaks, the OnePlus 10 Pro will come with Hasselblad cameras. It is expected to have a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is expected to be included in the device as confirmed by the CEO himself.
We’ll have to wait until OnePlus sends out invites for the event.
