Red Pocket Mobile has silently made some changes to its wireless plans. In addition to the plan changes, a report says that the MVNO has stopped offering select plans under the networks of AT&T and Verizon.
The new plan changes include the following:
One of the plans that have been changed is the $10 plan that Red Pocket Mobile used to offer on all major networks. But with the new changes, the plan is only available under T-Mobile’s network. It has also been updated to include unlimited minutes, global texting, and free international calling. Prior to this change, the plan only came with 1,000 minutes.
Red Pocket has also increased the price in one of the plans it offers. Previously, it offered a plan with unlimited everything and 3GB of high-speed data at $19/month. Now, the same plan costs $20/month but continues to be available on all major networks.
Third, the MVNO has made a change to one of its eBay exclusive plans. Previously, the $60 annual plan was compatible with the networks of AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. But now, it is only available on T-Mobile’s network. The plan continues to be equipped with 100 minutes, 100 texts, and 500MB of high-speed hard-capped data each month.
And finally, Red pocket has brought back a previously discounted plan and even offered this at a lower price. The plan, now costing $50/month, is part of the government’s Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program. The program gives eligible customers up to a $50/month discount on their broadband/wireless service. Basically, you can get this plan for free when you qualify for the EBB program. It was formerly offered at $60/month with unlimited everything and 30GB of high-speed data. This plan was available on all networks except T-Mobile.
