It looks like OnePlus has plans to create a spin-off brand. To recall, this isn’t the first time the smartphone manufacturer did something like this. The company followed the same strategy with the Nord series two years ago. And ever since then, the Nord series has released several variants.
As revealed by The Mobile Indian, OnePlus is considering following Xiaomi’s footsteps with its POCO move. But as shared by PhoneArena, there is no concrete evidence for this report yet.
The original report says that Nord will be dropping the OnePlus branding in its future devices. Instead, it will simply mention the brand in some cases.
Apart from a new line-up, the Nord series will likely be released with a custom-made UI.
